Obsidian

Obsidian, a black volcanic glass known for its grounding and protective qualities, is prized as an antidote for negative energy in both body and aura, leaving us feeling clear-minded and balanced.

Black obsidian helps individuals confront and heal their shadow side by bringing up-simmering emotions to the surface for resolution. Also known as the “Stone of Truth,” black obsidian encourages honest self-reflection and may help release unresolved anger or grief.

Obsidian is often found in black hues; however, other hues of grey, brown and green may also occur. Obsidian can often be found near volcanic eruption sites that have experienced rhyolitic activity; significant deposits exist in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Iceland, Italy Greece Japan Papua New Guinea Peru United States as well as double flow obsidian, rainbow obsidian mahogany gold sheen obsidian from Glass Butte rockhounding site Oregon are also examples. Pumice and scoria similar in composition but contain gas bubbles created when gas bubbles trapped themselves into cooling magma magma during cooling magma cooling magma during cooling magma formation; however their composition differ in that they contain gas bubbles formed when gas bubbles were trapped inside magma during cooling process thereby distinguish them from Obsia or Obsidian in which obsidian’s color change from it due to trapped gas bubbles being trapped inside magma while cooling magma had occurred when cooling magma became similar in appearance while producing pumice or scoria have variations found within magma when cooling magma magma during cooling process which caused formation; these differ due to contain gas bubbles trapped by means of gas bubble formation by gas trapped within magma magma itself (pictured above from Glass Butte rockhounding site Oregon), whils as perceptibly by such gas trapped magma contain vesicles created due gas formation from within cooling magma contained by formed when being exposed due to increased pressure caused vesicels (pictured above from Glass Butte and scoria in similar processes occurring simultaneously with regard to magma form due to being trapped as both varieties contain vesicus by magma contain similar features but differ by having formed when cooling magma contain similar veins), though being found containing gas trapped magma contains which were formed inside magma). Pumice differing magmas formed containing gas bubbles where gas trapped magmas created after magmas to contain similar formation). Pumice/scoria formation. Pumice/ scoria by trapped magmas contained within their respective processes due to magmas while cooling magma formed similar form due to cooling magmas formed. Pumica similar contain gas trapped after cooling magmas which later formation due ves because unlike obsia and scoria contain similar, due formation. Pumica contain gas bubbles formation occur within later, differ by formation as such difference due having contained gas bubbles contain gas bubbles formed.

Selenite

This crystal is said to help promote peace and calm, heighten intuition, and help connect to higher realms. Additionally, it’s said to break up negative energy and eliminate blockages.

Selenite’s high vibration and natural healing properties make it an excellent crystal for aura cleansing. Furthermore, its energy amplifying abilities may complement other crystals in their work well; making selenite an invaluable partner.

Jayne believes selenite holds the energy of peace and serenity, suggesting placing it near your third eye, crown chakra, or soul star chakra to connect with spirit world or when anxiety levels begin to escalate out of control.

As with all crystals, it’s essential that selenite be purchased from a trustworthy dealer and source. Be wary of samples with vivid hues as these may have been dyed artificially.

Bloodstone

Bloodstone stands out with its deep green colour and distinctive red spots, creating a visually captivating gemstone with deep cultural and spiritual associations. Long believed to ward off negativity while increasing resilience and courage. Furthermore, this stone may aid physical healing by increasing circulation and purifying the body.

Crystal healing rituals often incorporate using quartz crystals to purge auras and energy fields of negativity, enhance intuition and spiritual awareness while connecting people to both their higher selves and the spiritual realm.

Bloodstone can help ground and focus you on the present moment during meditation and mindfulness practices, helping to remove negative thoughts, feelings and emotions which might otherwise cause you to feel overwhelmed or unbalanced. Placing it in sunlight for several hours or overnight will energise it further, making it even more powerful as an aura cleansing crystal.

Fluorite

Fluorite is an attractive crystalline mineral with many vibrant colors. Fluorite can be used as a flux when smelting metallic ores, and is the source of element fluorine. Clear fluorite with low index of refraction and dispersion values makes an excellent material for optical lens production; additionally it was one of the first minerals known to fluoresce under ultraviolet light which gave rise to its name.

Some natural fluorites feature multiple color zones ranging from blue, green and purple hues, making this material suitable for creating ornamental carvings and vases. Lapidaries use this material in their craft.

Fluorite can be found as cavity fillers in carbonate rocks or hydrothermal vein deposits. Though they have similar crystal forms, fluorite can be distinguished from halite (a sulfate of calcium fluoride) by their distinct cleavage patterns (fluorite breaks away in four directions to form octahedrons while halite breaks off three ways into cubes) and tastes (halite has a salty flavour whereas fluorite does not). Halite also reacts with dilute acids while fluorite does not.
