After a busy few months of Barbie press—not to mention being a headliner on the official soundtrack—Mermaid Barbie herself, aka Dua Lipa, is taking a beat to ‘recharge her crystals.’

The singer-turned-actress has jetted off on a well-deserved ‘Tomato Girl‘ summer, to kick back, unwind and recuperate and honestly, her Instagram posts (aside from inspiring some new capsule wardrobe buys) are making us want to drop everything and pack our bags for sunnier climes.

Alas, while a similar sun-soaked getaway might not be on the cards for many of us right now, we can at least take cues from Dua’s own restorative trip…

How Dua Lipa is recharging her crystals?

Dua took to her socials on Monday, July 31, 2023, to share a glimpse of her healing summer. The carousel saw the Dance The Night songstress repping the ‘exposed thong’ trend (much like her iconic Barbie premiere dress) underneath a bright red crochet dress as she posed on the shoreline—channeling IRL mermaid vibes.

She accompanied her effortless, summer fit with a very natural, ‘lived in’ makeup look and captioned the post: “charging my crystals ✨.”

Her post reminds us just how restorative a trip away can be, or just some days spent soaking up the sun and sea. The caption especially got us thinking that perhaps we should take this as a sign from the sheer dress queen herself, to dust off our own crystals and self-care essentials…
