Therapist Beverly Raftery has launched a store selling healing crystals – which she sources from across the globe. The launch of Pure Crystals in Alsager comes after the 54-year-old, who provides ‘energy crystal healing’, had previously sold products online and ran pop-ups.

Now Beverly, of Church Lawton, has a permanent base on Crewe Road. She said: “I’m a therapist – I do energy crystal healing. My clients were asking where they could get the crystals from. Nowhere sold them. So I started selling a few and it turned into this!

“I support people in choosing the crystals and guide them on how to use them. If people are new and unsure, I have the skills and knowledge to help them.”

The crystals, from across the world, are all hand-picked by Beverly. She said: “It’s very eclectic. I go and choose them personally, I pick every crystal by hand, by sight and energy.”

Customers can take advantage of many alternative therapies from within the shop including reiki, crystal healing, womb healing, sound healing and meditation.

Before finding her passion, Beverly was working as a consultation research officer for Age UK. She said: “I reached a stage in my life where I needed some support. I went to a mind, body and spirit fair one day and had a reiki taster session.

“Prior to that, I was at a low ebb. Somebody gave me two crystals, rose quartz and amethyst. I was blown away by what I felt, the urge of energy, calm and peace.

“Each crystal has a vibration, we have a unique vibration but our energies are affected by our day-to-day life. The crystals support in raising those vibrations and energy frequencies.

Inside Pure Crystals

“They can work by holding them, leaving them in your pocket, wearing them as a piece of jewellery, or leaving them under your pillow.”

Pure Crystals stocks raw specimen pieces, Himalayan salt lamps, jewellery, crystal skulls, as well as flower essences made by Tabitha’s Essences.

Beverly added: “I’m looking forward to welcoming and supporting customers, to support them on a day-to-day basis, on their crystal journey. Regardless of whether they are just starting or have been using crystals for many years. I’m always happy to share my wisdom and knowledge with anyone in this space.”

The shop is open Wednesday to Saturday between 9.30am and 5pm. For more information head to Pure Crystals Facebook page.
